|
The Woman's Club of Spring Lake of GFWC, one of the oldest service clubs in Spring Lake, was organized on November 18, 1918. The club is a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs, the largest volunteer women's service organization in the state, and a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs which provides opportunities for education, leadership training, and community service through participation in local clubs, enabling members to make a difference in the lives of others, one project at a time. Community service is a very important phase of the club's work. This year the NJSFWC's Special State Project is Gilda's Club. Every year the Woman's Club of Spring Lake assists women attending college through the Scholarship Fund. Each year the club holds an Annual Fall Scholarship Luncheon. Scholarships for 2011 will be awarded at the Spring Luncheon in 2011. Download
