American Legion Post # 432 Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony. Take this opportunity as Americans to join us and honor those special people who put their lives on the line to protect our Nation. Come line the sidewalks of Spring Lake's 3rd Av. starting at 10:15 a.m. and cheer on our Color Guard as they lead the parade with over 12 different other organizations marching to the music played by the Spring Lake and Spring Lake Heights School Bands. The parade ends at 11:00 a.m. on 5th Av. at the west end of Divine Park in front of the Veterans Memorial. There we will honor those who have given their all for this great Country, and conclude at 12:00 noon by continuing the National Tradition of raising the American Flag from ½ mast to full mast. 29th ANNUAL HOUSE TOUR, Once again, The Spring Lake Historical Society will hold their annual House Tour featuring six wonderful homes with beauty, character and charm. In addition to these seven homes, you will tour the historic Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Tour time is 10 am to 3 pm. Another treat in store for you will be the Chateau Inn & Suites. In addition a visit to the Spring Lake Historical Museum where the exhibit "POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE OF THE SEA" is displayed in the Changing Gallery. This exhibit displays a wonderful collection of Spring Lake Postcards from the late 1800s to the present day.

In association with the Spring Lake and Sea Girt Public Libraries, The Historic Inns of Spring Lake are hosting their 2nd annual AUTHORS & INNS TOUR on Sunday afternoon June 8, 2008 from 1:00-5:00 pm.
